Scott is a dynamic white-ball opening batsman and off-spinner, who has enjoyed productive T20 blast and one-day campaigns since 2019 for Durham. Having recently moved to Leicestershire, we are expecting some big performances from Scott in the 2021 season.
As a Durham academy graduate, Scott made his first-team debuts in all three formats during the 2019 summer. Since then he has made a name for himself as an aggressive white-ball opener, scoring a half-century on his Royal London Cup debut, averaging 32 from his 7 innings.
He went on to enjoy a productive Vitality Blast, with his 369 runs second only to D’Arcy Short for Durham. The pair shared opening stands of over 50 six times in eleven matches. Scott also qualifies to play for the Scottish National team, having spent time on training camps recently with the national side.
Scott left Durham at the end of the 2020 season, electing to sign a three-year deal with Leicestershire. He adds significant firepower to The Foxes lineup, and we can’t wait to see him racking up big scores at Grace Road in 2021
