Biography

Michael is a talented utility back with excellent defensive capabilities, capable of high levels of performance at fly-half, centre and full-back. Already closing in on 50 appearances for Wasps, there is a lot more to come from Michael in his career.

Michael began his career with his local club, Jersey, as an 18-year-old. He went on to make over 100 appearances and score nearly 900 points for the Reds across six seasons, playing a key role in their progress from English rugby’s fifth tier to the Championship, where he scored their first ever try against Leeds Carnegie.

In 2013 Michael moved from Jersey to the Bedford Blues, where he made 48 appearances and scored 73 points. Following a stellar 2017/18 campaign, Michael was named as RPA Championship Player of the Season, and also selected in the Rugby Paper’s 2017/18 Championship Dream Team.

In 2018, Michael signed for Premiership club Wasps, before re-signing a new contract following good performances in the number 12 shirt. Michael continues to impress for Wasps, cementing his place in the centre with his first Premiership try and being named in the Team of the Week for Round 5, also playing a key role in Wasps winning four of their first six matches in the 2020/21 season.
